Title: how can I resize the emulator window
Post by: maxthon on January 04, 2011, 10:45:31 AM
The emulator window got really big (not sure why it got so big) after using it for a while.  I may have resized it myself by accident, but could anyone please let me know how I can resize the window?  The traditional resizing method in window does not seem to apply with the emulator. =(

Thanks so much

The large window you saw is the landscape mode window. You can switch back to portrait mode window with a different Android content by clicking "Flip Screen". Currently these are the two modes we support. At this moment, we do not support resizing window on the fly.

That's a shame, the emulator window being a little more netbook 1024x600 screen resolution friendly would be a big boon.

Hopefully you could address this in the future.

We thought the larger the better. Is it not true?

Everyone at YouWave has a large monitor. Maybe that's why we overlooked people with smaller screens?

I run the emulator on my desktop (1440x900) and my netbook (1024x600). It's a pleasure on the desktop but a pain on the netbook.

"We thought the larger the better. Is it not true?"

ABSOLUTELY NOT! We need an emulation of true screen size (800 x 480, 480 x 320, 320 x 240, etc....). We don't need on the fly resizing, but at startup only.... PLEEEEEEEEEASEEE SUPPORT SCREEN SIZE!

Thanks for your suggestion. Many users have asked us to provide support for other screen sizes. Definitely we will do something about it.

We will have some improvement on this regard in our upcoming version 2.0.0. It is an ongoing effort and we still have much work to do.

I can't agree with you more. We need an emulation of true screen size.

i hope the new screen size thing does NOT decrease speed whatsoever.. I do hate some games that decreases speed when using in full screen..

it does not work well with portable device. though i think in desktop environment theres no problem with having current screen adjustments
