Title: installing market / adding google account
Post by: fuxi on October 23, 2012, 03:11:49 AM
hi all,

i've searched the forum for installing the google market + adding a google account.
unfortunately nothing didn't work as described .. :(
i'm using youwave v2.34

here's what i did:
- installing GoogleServicesFramework.apk
- installing vending.apk
- trying to sign in (no success)
- reboot youwave
- reinstall vending

no success :(
i keep getting an error "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server".
of course browsing via youwave is working ..
any ideas?
thanks

Actually, installing Market is there in YouWave.

Go to Online Content, click on the Android Market icon. Android Market package will be downloaded from a third-party site. Then go to Apps Panel and double-click to install Market. Follow directions afterwards. You should be able to have Market running in a few minutes.

i've reinstalled youwave and managed to install the market and successfully adding my google account.
when checking youwave's account settings it's listed there but tagged with "phone only, no synchronization".
so i can't load my contacts .. any ideas how to do it?
i remember there was an app which accomplished that.
thanks

- Install Google Play Store & Login
- Download GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=904553&d=1329411646)

It should immediatly sync your contacts, but if it doesnt go to:
-  Settings > Accounts & Sync
- [CHECK] Sync Contacts
