Title: Finding my android ID
Post by: echoz89 on December 02, 2012, 01:59:58 PM
Hi, I recently moved an account over on a game to YouWave whilst I was organizing some things out in game and changing devices.

I have followed the insructions on the main YouWave website stating to input commands into the Emulator terminal.
http://www.youwave.com/android_id.html (http://www.youwave.com/android_id.html)

I have followed the above instructions, with numerous variations on the commands and none work. It always states that it's not found.

Could you please give me any help :)

If you cannot follow this instruction, how about entering the /sdcard directory before "cat" and changing ("echo" command) the Id:

su
cd /sdcard
cat Id
<here you should see the content of Id>
echo <something> > Id

If you were using an Android ID on a real device and want to convert it to use it with YouWave, you need to convert the Hex format to decimal format before using the "echo" command.

I will give this a try and let you know. I wasn't using an android, was using an iPhone, I believe I have found the ID now, via an app but when I enter it on the game it's not recognised, could you tell me if this is the correct id to be using.
Current Android ID (According to app: Android ID Changer v1.5): 1f1f5cf5bb3397
Attempted a conversion of above ID came up with: 8760208398168983
This ID also doesn't work to transfer my account across

After cat /Id
I get "No such file or directory"

There was a mistake on our previous post (now corrected), the command should be "cat Id", not "cat /Id".
