Error is 577. It means that Windows cannot verify the digital signature for a file. Which Windows version this is?

Sir, I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.  So how am I supposed to get the youwave running.

Whenever I tried to factory reset, it specifies the error message "Failed in copying golden file. Manual intervention please."

When I checked to open the app opensuduku, I get the error message "Android OS not ready. Please wait a few seconds before retrying."

Until now android had never loaded successfully in youwave. I only see a blank ash colored page in youwave.

Thanks for the reply.

Please send two logs files to info at youwave.com.
1.  <user>/youwave/.Virtualbox/VBoxSVC.log
2.  <user>/youwave/.Virtualbox/youwave_vm01/Logs/VBox.log

We are going to fix the "Failed in copying golden file" error in the next release 5.3, hopefully tomorrow Wednesday.

sprout1142, since you do not see any log files, we cannot tell what is going on. We will build more debuggability in the software soon.  If you can post your PC's spec, it helps.

My trial is going to end. So how come I can check this youwave..  Sad :-(

Your problem is  Windows cannot verify the digital signature for a file. This is the first time we have seen such an error. We cannot see this in our own testing.

Can you provide a screenshot of files under YouWave's installed directory - C:\Program Files (x86)\YouWave Android. Please show the sizes and Date modified of the files.

Hi Mohan,

Your machine is 32 bit. YouWave's Premium version is currently 64 bit only. What's why it does not work for you.

We are improving the 64 bit version right now. The 32 bit support may come later in couple of months.

Hi dummyna,

Looks like that the error you are seeing is because YouWave is signed with SHA256, which is not supported by Vanilla Windows 7. The world is quickly moving to SHA256 signing and some Windows 7 machines are lacking support of it.

 Please see https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/security/3033929.aspx and https://knowledge.symantec.com/support/code-signing-support/index?page=content&id=SO26221&actp=RSS&viewlocale=en_US
for background information.

Seems like that you need to apply a Windows hot update to support that.

We are still looking at the workaround of this issue. We will update more if we have more information.

Thanks.

Hi dummyna,

Our testing has confirmed that your issue will go away after you update your Windows 7 to date.

For this specific issue, the update needed is https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=46148

Hello,
I am also facing black screen. I had the previous youwave version installed, the 3.22. I uninstalled it before uninstalling the new one. I tried downloading the windows security update but it says the update is not applicable for my windows. I am using windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit.

Update,
I installed a fresh copy of windows, this time windows ultimate sp1 and it allowed me to download the security update from microsoft.
However, log looks ok now but youwave still not loading. I asked a friend to try it on his laptop and same issue.
I start to doubt that the 5.2 version is actually working at all. So far, all x64 windows OS have failed to load and the 5.2 does not support x32 which makes me ask:
How can I run youwave ?
P.S. I am also very sorry to hear I do not benefit from my previous purchase and I have to buy youwave again for the 5.2 release which is very disappointing as I will run out of trial days in 10 days and I can't even test it. Youwave 3.22 (the one I purchased) is obsolete, I have no use for it anymore so I think it would only be fair to get my license key extended for current and future upgrades.
Waiting for any good news.

Hi Wendell,

We can offer a discounted upgrade fee (only $10 to cover the price difference between the two) to Premium for existing customers of Home version. Please email info at youwave.com to request.

Can you please do one thing?

Run a Command Prompt as Administrator, run this command to check:
sc query vboxdrv

If it shows as STOPPED, run this:
sc start vboxdrv

We found this issue blocks some instances of running 5.2. A fix will be provided soon.

And Wendell,

5.2 is working on many 64 bit machines. This new version is currently lack of robustness of 3.22 in terms of handling some error conditions. We are improving it as we speak.

    Please Stay tuned.

This shows that the installation was in fact not complete.

Any chance you can issue this command under admin:
C:\Program Files (x86)\YouWave Android\vb\SUPInstall.exe

This command shall complete this missed installation.

We will make the next version more robust.
Title: Re: Uninstalled the virtual box, then installed youwave. But youwave not working
Post by: wendell on November 11, 2015, 08:18:23 AM
So I started running this
C:\Program Files (x86)\YouWave Android\vb\SUPInstall.exe and it gave me the error
the file msvcr100.dll is missing from the computer. Googled it and found this
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/36518-63-msvcr100-missing-computer
and I installed the vcredist_x64.exe .
After that, I was able to run the SUPInstall. Youwave still not working but after an uninstall/install it worked.
So the solution is getting the msvcr100.dll file by installing vcredist_x64.exe which will lead to a full instalation.

After like 10 restarts it once loaded but after installing the apps, right when the home screen was loading, it said youwave is shutting down or power off or something like that. Could it be one of the preinstalled apps ? Can I delete those somehow ?

The powering off issue should be caused by running low in system memory. Notice you have some other programs running at the same time. Can you please check Task Manager to see the available memory in your system?

YouWave has provided a version of msvcr file -- msvcr80.dll. Apparently, it now seems having compatibility issue in some systems causing missed installation. We will provide a fix.

Thank you very much for provide the information.

I have 6 GB of RAM totally and using 3-3.5 with YouWave running so it is not the case. I have a cloud computer with same version of Windows and same issue there. I allocated 8 GB of RAM just to make sure and same problem. I will look more into it but it seems to me there is still some incompatibility between my windows and youwave. I only have 2 licensed copies of windows so unfortunately I can't try more.
Also the power off/shutting down issue appears in the best case scenario when youwave actually passes the Android logo and loads into the homescreen after at least 10 reboots or factory resets.
I am out out of ideas so I will wait for a solution or a hotfix. Please keep this post/topic up to date as I am sure it concerns more users.

For me, it is the same.
Loading up to the Android logo and then stopping. You can see from the performance monitor that it stops any activity.

Wendell,

What is your PC's CPU type? The symptom that you are seeing is mostly likely caused by a crash.

In 5.3, the first you ran it, it booted into the Android logo, is that correct?

Hi,
My CPU is AMD Athlon Dual=Core 2.3 Ghz the first laptop and the 2nd is an Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66 Ghz.
Yes, first ran went into Android logo and same since. I rebooted, factory reset, etc. I ran the SUPinstall.exe as well.

The AMD machine and the Intel machine behave the same, is that correct?
Title: Re: Uninstalled the virtual box, then installed youwave. But youwave not working
Post by: wendell on November 15, 2015, 08:06:16 AM
Sometimes the Intel machine stops at the commands load, doesn't reach the Android logo. But I've been looking at the performance monitor to both of them and at one point, they just stop any activity since the RAM and CPU usage drops considerably.
Something like a crash, yes.

Thanks. So for the Intel machine, the behavior is rather inconsistent.

Notice the CPUs of your two machines (AMD and Intel) are fairly old. Does YouWave 5.3 work on newer machine(s) for you if you have any?

We will test YouWave on some older machines to see if there is any difference.

I've got to echo the sentiment. I bought Premium 5.3 at Thanksgiving. That version didn't start correctly and I posted the problem here. Premium 5.4 came out and still doesn't even get to booting Android (it appears). So far, I haven't even gotten an acknowledgement of my trouble report. This isn't the right way to treat paying customers.

Thank you.
Title: Re: Uninstalled the virtual box, then installed youwave. But youwave not working
Post by: YouWaveAdmin on March 10, 2016, 03:26:08 PM
We have determined that this issue - ""Performance Events: Unsupported P6 CPU model ..." is caused by the fact that the CPU does not have visualization (VT-x) enabled.

CPUs that do not have virtualization (VT-x) enabled still can run YouWave Free version. But for Premium version, we have decided not to support those CPUs. Now newer machines all have virtualization enabled.

For CPUs that have the capability of VT-X, you can enable it through BIOS during booting (by pressing F2 or another key).
