« on: August 30, 2012, 10:35:24 AM »
For using DropBox to transfer images from outside YouWave
1. upload the image to DropBox
2. open DropBox in YouWave
3. find the image, left click mouse and hold, there is a menu come out
4. select export, then WhatsApp, then the receiving person

If download SDCard, it will end up with 2 copies of the image in YouWave.

Using YouWave Android / Re: Date and Time Always changing
« on: March 10, 2012, 11:07:31 AM »
Thanks reconx86

Time always not sync after upgrade to 2.2.1.
It causes trouble while using Whatsapp.
ClockSync really works to solve this problem.

Just a thought ...
YouWave rides on ClockSync or
ClockSync rides on YouWave ...

Android Apps / Re: Applications Errors!
« on: March 10, 2012, 10:47:45 AM »
I get the annoying message when starting YouWave. It is
Android.Process.Media.

After searching, I found the following worked :
1. Setting, Application, Manage Application, all
2. open download manager, force stop, clear data
3. open media storage, force stop, clear data

The annoying message is gone

Above is for error relating to Media. I think the logic is same.

Android Apps / Re: Problem with Whatsapp
« on: March 10, 2012, 10:32:23 AM »
I have the same problem when installing the bundled Whatsapp apk with YouWave.
It says too old version and refuse to install.
Hence, goto Whatsapp site, download the latest apk, copy to
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\youwave\android apps
Then at YouWave, View -> Redraw icon, and install the new Whatsapp apk

After installing the apk download direct from Whatsapp, it works as smooth as it should be.

General Discussion / Re: Pictures?

It seems the new version 2.2.0 is little better in Gallery
if the batch picture is around 3 numbers.
For more pictures like 9 numbers, the Gallery just refresh
and cannot show individual picture for selection.

Wish this will improve in future,

Using YouWave Android / Re: how to play MOV files
« on: January 22, 2012, 09:29:19 AM »
The MOV file cannot be played inside YouWave.
All the Video Player apps cannot play the MOV inside YouWave
even some of them were reported to play MOV in Android machine
without any problem.
-----------
one workaround solution is
upload the MOV file to DropBox
Download the MOV file to PC
play from PC
----Ha Ha ----- Do You think this is so clever !!
Just find out the YouWave include media player can play some small MOV.

easy way to run apk in pc is copy the apk to
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\youwave\android apps
in View -> Redraw Icons
if still cannot see the new apk
in File -> Path to Apps, set to above location
then redraw icons
then double click the icons to run

I have a workable solution

To access the SDCARD in YouWave, need to use Linux command.
Steps as follow:

1. Register DropBox
2. Copy the files into DropBox (local PC hard disk)
3. in YouWave, use internal browser to login to DropBox Accound
4. download the file into YouWave
5. Open Dev Tool apps -> Terminal Server
6. In the Linux windows, type su - (to get super user rights)
7. cd / (go down to the root)
8. the download files is in /mnt/sdcard/download/
9. suppose the download files is for LIME, so the destination is /mnt/sdcard/limehd
10. copy the file from download to destination by
    cp /mnt/sdcard/download/canton.txt /mnt/sdcard/limehd/canton.lime
11. type 'exit' and press "go back"
the file is right in hand for installation
