Technical Issues and Support / Re: Keyboard keeps resetting to US
« on: April 05, 2012, 11:03:48 AM »
I am currently studying Arabic at school, so I thought I might as well take a look at the Arabic version.

At first, I was rather impressed, I liked the font and the look (way better than my writing lol).
I think you should add Classic Modern Arabic, a very common type of Arabic learnt all over the world.

Egyptian Arabic to Classic Arabic speakers is like Egyptian, not Arabic, if you know what I mean.
There are subtle differences, however, I don't think it should worry you because the written Arabic is pretty much the same throughout.

Then I noticed that MAJORITY of my apps were in English, save the few system apps such as Music, Settings etc.
Also, main page for applications, they are ALL in English.
Also, (how many "also"s?????) the numbers are in English style, not Arabic numbers.

So I deduced that all downloaded apps remain in English and are not translated into Arabic.

I was wondering if you already knew that, or whether it would be something that you would be looking into.

By the way, is the user "YouWaveAdmin" one person or a whole team?

If it's one person, wow... He's doing a great job doing everything with just one admin.

On the sidebar, click on "View","Online Content" then "Android Market".

You should have Market after YouWave restarts.

Android Apps / Re: Avalon Wars crashes :(

I'm guessing if Avalon is quite a intense game for YouWave, then it simply won't run.
Intense as in memory, cpu usage whatever, I'm no expert.

Wait 'till admin sees it?

Hope admin see's this.
YouWave, in my opinion, should be offered in all different languages, so to expand further in the market.

Some apps that require things like, correct me if I'm mistaken, flash etc. YouWave doesn't support that sort of stuff.

Games like Angry Birds or Temple run do not work.
However, a game that does work is "Hanging with Friends" =]

I may be mistaken though. But I'm pretty sure that's what I read earlier =P

I had the same problem.
I uninstalled Oracle Virtual Box, YouWave and restarted my computer.
Installed YouWave and it worked!

On YouWave sidebar, click on "View", then on "Online Content", then on "Android Market".
Follow the installation process, post a comment if you need further help.

I have installed angry birds through market and 1games. Not once did it work.
It keeps giving me  =  bla bla bla "has closed unexpectedly".

Same for temple run.

A game that does work is Hanging with Friends though =]

Android Apps / Re: Where to download apps?
« on: April 05, 2012, 04:53:50 AM »
On the sidebar, click on "View" then on "Online Content". There you should see "Market" click on it once and follow the steps.
At the end YouWave should restart and you should be able to run Market.

Then you can downloads apps at your will.

Android Apps / Market not showing apps correctly.
« on: April 05, 2012, 04:50:54 AM »
I have market installed and was working perfectly.
I have downloaded a few apps already.

However, now when I type anything in the search place for example "temple run", the game doesn't show up.

I typed in "Hanging" before to download the app, "Hanging with Friends" by Zynga. But now if I type in "Hanging" or "Hanging with Friends" I cannot find it.

Android Apps / Re: Very easy 1-Step Market (Google Play) Install
« on: April 05, 2012, 04:37:53 AM »
I want to report a problem that other users might have experienced.

If you have attempted to install market before using the guide on this thread, make sure you delete all the files (e.g googleframework.apk - vendor.apk) you downloaded to try and make market work.

I had tried to install market previously, without any luck, and then saw this guide. I went to online content and installed Market. I didn't work, I was rather puzzled, but then I realised that the files I had previously downloaded to try and make Market work were conflicting. So I deleted all the files I had downloaded, uninstalled all the relevant things on the virtual phone. Then I went to online content and installed market and it worked!

Am very happy I saw this guide, thanks!
