Using YouWave Android / Re: You don't have any devices
« on: May 13, 2012, 05:45:03 AM »
If you test it now, you should be able to click install.
The problem now is you never get the app you're asking for in GP.

Want a solution?

Do the following :)

1) Get Google Chrome on your PC/Laptop.
2) Get the APK Downloader for Chrome.
3) Follow the instructions in the APK Downloader website.
4) Enter to Google Play.
5) Download anything you want (unless it's paid and you have not paid for it).

C'mon, you're pushing it too far, sjc1963.

And now, you're not a YouWave's victim?
Please... if you're asking for help or suggesting something, please do it in the right way.

*** Back on track ***
Today I got the same error. Damned installation.
Uninstalled, re-installed it, activated it with key.
Let's see what happens.

Maybe the Anti-Virus is using too much RAM?

Is there something extremely wrong if my installation wasn't cracked though (downloaded it from of course) and I still get that horrible message?

PS: I actually got it 7 times.
PS2: At the time of this post, the installation is working fine.

If you see this error, please just follow what this message says - reinstall from the official site. Then do you still see the problem? You will not.

There is something corrupted or hacked after installation that makes the program's execution impossible.
That's the weird thing. I've downloaded it (and after that installed it) at least 7 times from YouWave's official site.
I think there's a problem with my Internet Download Manager or my Internet, then...

As far as I'm concerned, yes... this happens quite often but I thought it was a problem of my laptop.
I think there's no fix for now... but...
If you backup THE SD CARD (%USERPROFILE%\.Virtualbox\HardDisks\youwave_vm01.vdi), you won't lose anything.

1) Copy the file mentioned before.
2) Paste it in your documents folder, I don't know... wherever you can find it later.
3) Uninstall YouWave.
4) Install it again.
5) Copy youwave_vm01.vdi and paste it into %USERPROFILE%\.Virtualbox\HardDisks\.
6) Replace the existing file.
7) Start YouWave.

Everything will be there.

That's great.
I think it's time to tell everyone to get Android on their PCs/Laptops :D

Oh, I see...
I'd really like that function but I'll have to wait for some users to support my idea hehe.

Excellent news, redeemer. Then my easyfix worked. *Feeling like a smart guy right now*
But I'm still wondering why the installation didn't create the folder and the apps.xml :\
Did you run the installation as a administrator?

-- Also, YouWaveAdmin said something interesting... the codification of the XML file.
What codification is needed? UTF-8?

Ah. YouWave did not find out your apps directory.

Do you have a file under C:\Users\Víctor\youwave\android apps\apps.xml? If you have, can you send its content to us?

Also, can you open a command prompt and type "echo %USERPROFILE%"? What do you see?
So... as an easy fix, could he create the folders inside "C:\Users\Victor\" (first youwave and inside of it, android apps) and then create his XML file with the following code in a TXT (and then renaming it to "apps.xml")?

Code: [Select]
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<cat><appdir>C:\Users\Victor\youwave\android apps\</appdir><version>0.3</version><save_mode_state>0</save_mode_state></cat>

Is that ok or this doesn't work like this?

Code: [Select]
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<cat><appdir>C:\Users\Victor\youwave\android apps\</appdir><version>0.3</version><save_mode_state>0</save_mode_state></cat>

¿Está bien o esto no funciona de esta forma?

Android Apps / Re: Instagram

Foursquare is also very popular but I don't see people asking for it ho-ho.
Just be a little patient. Someday YouWave will be able to run every app :D

I still think the trial time is too short.
I'd give a 30-days trial time and then a definitive block so if the user reinstalls the app, it's still blocked.
Always with the option to buy a license (of course) after that period.
After all, a month is enough time to check every function of YouWave.

Considering that Bluestacks is free, btw...

Is that possible?
Also I'd like to see that icon animated when an app gets activity.
(Ex: If you get a message in WhatsApp, the icon will blink or something and the sound notification still sounds when the message arrives)
Could that happen in v2.2.4? :D
