I've downloaded the trial version of YouWave v2.2.1 but after installing, the right hand side of the panel does not show anything, no Android OS is seen. It's transparent. I've uninstalled and re-installed several times but no hope! Attached pls. find the files for your debugging. Pls. help!

Try this:
- uninstall first
- Restart your computer
- Right click on the installer (Not Double Click)
- Run as Administrator

I had the same problem and solved it this way...

Tried but not successful. FYI, my PC machine has to log to a network account but my account has already granted administrator right.

Actually, if I install youwave "run as administrator". After installation and click run, it got "Initialization Error: Please reinstall Youwave"!

Did you restart after you removed youwave (This seems to be very important)
And then run the installer as Administrator

Some computers might have administrator priveleges for the users, but limited priveleges for the applications...
The level of limitations for the applications are set in the configuration panel and can differ from computer to computer...

That's why I suggested run as administrator to bypass any possible limitation... as a precaution... just to be sure....
Under normal circumstances this shouldn't be a problem

I've tried the following,

1. Uninstall it completely.
2. Restart the Windows.

Then case 1:

1. Install the exe by selecting "Run as..." and select "Administrator".
2. Then after installation, click to run (as normal user with administration right).
3. Got, "Initialization Error: Please reinstall YouWave".

case 2:
1. Right click on the icon of "Youwave_android" and run as "Administrator".
2. The application shows up but the right hand side of the panel is still transparent. Nothing happened!

Are the above methods following your suggested procedures? If no, what does go wrong?

The issue should be related to the fact that your account is a network based.

Can you tell us where is your HOME directory? You can find out by issuing:

echo %USERPROFILE%

Type the above in command prompt...

Actually, I have tried on two scenarios:

1. One PC on a networked based account and the report after running "echo %USERPROFILE%" is "C:\Documents and Settings\wflee.ASTRI.001". The account has administrator right.

2. Another is a Virtual Machine running Windows XP SP2 on a VMware workstation and it reports, "c:\Documents and Settings\wflee". The account running YouWave also has administrator right.

Both machines got the same result: The Android OS does not start.

Thx!

Can you see whether under these two cases, do you have the following directories under "%USERPROFILE%" directory -

youwave
./VirutalBox

On a command prompt, type -
sc query vboxdrv

what do you have?
YouWave is updated to Android Lollipop. See youwave.com/download

Yes, both cases have the two directories,

For the command, "sc query vboxdrv",

Both Case 1 & 2 report,

SERVICE_NAME: vboxdrv
        TYPE               : 1  KERNEL_DRIVER
        STATE              : 4  RUNNING
                                (STOPPABLE,NOT_PAUSABLE,IGNORES_SHUTDOWN)
        WIN32_EXIT_CODE    : 0   (0x0)
        SERVICE_EXIT_CODE  : 0   (0x0)
        CHECKPOINT         : 0x0
        WAIT_HINT          : 0x0

We still suspect it has to do with a unknown permission issue related to your network based accounting. But from the information you provided, it looks good. So the cause is still not clear...
