Sage 50: "no data connection / no active internet connection"
« on: December 17, 2012, 05:50:47 PM »
Hi there,

I seem to be having the same problem with the Sage 50 mobile app that users are having with some other apps... the app itself won't recognise a connection. I get both of these notifications:

"device currently has no data connection", or
"doesn't have an active internet connection".

... but I can connect to the Android Market and use the Browser just fine, so there is a connection through those apps.

Does anyone know if there is a general workaround for these errors, or are the apps that display these notifications unusable?

Thanks! :)

Which version you are using, Basic or Home?

EDIT:
1. Go into Settings > Acount & Sync > Google and then choose your Google account. You will see an option at the top-right to remove the account.
Then you need to add the Google account back with your new password

2. Settings > manage apps > All apps > Google Play store > clear data/cache

3. uninstall re-install playstore

4. Do a factory reset ( File > Android Factory Reset )

Basic. I tried Home, but when I tried to enter my google account, it wouldn't connect to google's servers... but Basic did.
