Whatsapp after Re-Install (Phone number doesnt exist anymore)
« on: January 14, 2013, 01:49:40 AM »
Hi

I had Whatsapp installed and I had to format my PC. I made a backup of the .Virtualbox and Youwave folders.

Now my problem is that Whatsapp was running on a number which does not exist anymore.
When I run Whatsapp on the new installed machine (I put the folders there where they belong), I need to re-Verify my phone number. The backup did not help...

Which file/ID or whatever is the one responsible for this? Is there a way to get some data from the 'backup' which I can fill in some file of the new installation so I can get Whatsapp running again?

Thanks!

You can enter another number, upon re-verifying (or re-installing) WhatsApp.
It will then ask you if you want the link old conversations to your new number.
