Problems on the portuguese keyboard
« on: May 20, 2013, 06:14:49 AM »
On the portuguese keyboard ( PT Portugal ) to write "@" we press: Alt Gr + 2
This is not working on youwave.
I haven´t found out where the "@" is.
I don´t know if the PT Brazil keyboard is the same as the PT Portugal, but if it is.. them they have the same problem.

And we use some more caracters with Alt Gr

@ = Alt Gr + 2
£ = Alt Gr + 3
§ = Alt Gr + 4
€ = Alt Gr + e
{ = Alt Gr + 7
[ = Alt Gr + 8
] = Alt Gr + 9
} = Alt Gr + 0
¨ = Alt Gr + "+"

There are also some problems with accents. we use ã, õ, á, à, é, ó, í, ú, â, ç.

For "ç" we have a proper key for it, so it works fine on youwave, but for the other letters, we have problems.

We use it like this.
We press the accent then the letter. so if i want "ã" i press "~" then "a". On youwave i get this "~a".

I can´t write correctly because of this problem.

Thank you for your feedback about Portuguese Keyboard. The characters with Alt Gr are easy fixes. The ones with accent key are little harder. We will investigate on how to solve the issues.

Does anybody know how to get the @-symbol on a german keyboard (usually: AltGr + Q)?
Language is already set to german. I've also tried the "change language then restart android"-game a couple of times. However, typing an email adress properly is impossible.

Typing in WhatsApp is pretty messed up when it comes to additional characters like @[]{}\~|
All german special characters requiring AltGr are not working. Is this still an issue of Youwave?

Do you have the keyboard on Windows set to english? near the clock? the keyboard has to be set to english so the german keyboard is set on youwave.

i have not yet tried the new version where the ALT GR problem appear to be corrected to the portuguese keyboard.

rockoiii,

    Which version are you using? The latest Home versions 3.2 or later have current ALT GR handling. If you set German Keyboard inside YouWave's Android, you can get @ with AltGr+Q. Under Windows, YouWave's keyboard is set to English automatically. Just do not change it.
